Seasoning of the surface plate is achieved naturally.
The perlitic surface plate is supported by rests and ribbing arranged to balance out tensions created when the plate is under load.
The edges are square to the surface and machine finished.
The surface plane is ground to comply with DIN 876/1 tolerances.
